I have been using this app on 2 separate android devices for a month now. Both are LG phones. Never had any issues.

Now one of the devices (of course the one with the most coins in it) closes every time it is launched

process com.bitcoinandroid has stopped unexpectedly.

Is it possible to retrieve the wallet info from this device before i wipe it and reinstall?

Bitcoin Android version 1.1 on Android 2.2.2

I submitted a crash report to you today (22 Aug)

Also happened to me. Screen starts blank white, and then exits after a second or so, on DROID2. I presume if I delete the app and reinstall, I'll lose my bitcoins....

I have the same issue. Has anyone tried the access the files from the debug cmd line?

Hi folks,

There is a work around for this which has solved it for at least one person:

  1. connect your android phone via usb and delete the blockchain.prod file
  2. restart the app on wifi and let it re-download the entire blockchain (this can take 1-5hrs)
  3. once the blockchain completes you can transfer the coin off the phone

Hope this solves it and apologies for the trouble! We have shifted our development effort into a better architected mobile app that will hopefully be announced soon. Apologies for the trouble!

barmstron - no fix for me. crash happens immediately after launch, no blockchain loading.

Hmm...even with no blockchain on the device? Unfortunate.

One thing I learned in this process is that Android development with Java is no walk in the park, esp without having all the different types of devices to test on :/

I've just encountered this issue myself. It appeared after I experimented with multiple wallets.
