Embed content from other sites

If there's a link to several trusted sites that offer an embeddable version, offer the content inside the columns or as a modal

• twitter, instagram or youtube could be first
• then switch to a standard open graph model

Questions:

• should the server fetch that info or should the client do it?

if the server:

• more load on the server
• only one fetch per link, as then it will be known for all of the users
• protects the user privacy

if the client:

• probably a "mini ddos" tool in the future, with many users requesting the same data again and again
• the external server gets the user IP
• the server doesn't need to know the content of the links, or who is asking for them
