Error Code 51300 #421

I keep getting 'Error Code 51300: No compatible access point in range. Please try again.' I searched it up and it sais my security might be too high so i lowered it to WEP, got the same error, then changed it to no security and im still getting the same error. I have the technicolor tg799vac by telstra Australia. I put in the DNS correct and everything but i just cannot connect. I also cannot erase WFC data (it's grayed out) even if i set up a connection it will still be grayed out on any game that i patch and try use with my flashcard. Does it need to be an R4 WiFi?
