Feature request: Cross-distribution package for Linux #775

Hi,

I believe that Linux users, myself included, would greatly appreciate it if a cross-distribution package for QtScrcpy is made available. Currently, I am using Debian Linux, which has an older version of Glib, specifically version 2.31, in its official repositories. Consequently, I am experiencing configuration failures. With a cross-distribution package, I would be able to use this wonderful application without any issues. If I may suggest, AppImage would be an excellent cross-distribution package format for Linux. However, I am not too particular about the format as long as it is cross-distribution and compatible with popular distributions.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,

If you know how to build flatpaks you can check out my Repo for it. I havent heard back about submitting it to flathub and wouldnt want to without the Authors permissions but you could use a VM for instance if Debian is missing any flatpak build dependencies.

Hello @barry-ran, Any news on this ? Flatpak, PPA, APT, DEB or AppImage would be nice. Thanks

I feel like there's not much interest in this by the dev, at least for now. Last time, the PR on Flathub was closed because even the contributor eventually hit a standstill
