understood. I will freshen my local copies and get the updates done soon - not
immediately to be honest, but with a week.

This is causing me pain too!

You might as well switch to http://pypi.python.org/pypi/twitter/1.9.1. We did
and it wasn't that painful. I think that support for this package is
discontinued.

It isn't discontinued at all - I'm constantly making changes to github now.
I moved to github as it allowed me and others to work on the project more
easily. While I haven't updated pypi yet (still on my todo list) I and others
have made bug and error fixes to the code base.
You can switch or not, that honestly doesn't bother me at all, just don't like
having someone say that support is discontinued when it is obvious that it is
not

Sorry about that. Didn't hear anything from you for a few months so I
"assumed". I'll look for the latest on github. Cheers.

No worries, just me being a bit touchy about something I shouldn't - it has
been quiet here so I can see why you felt that.
again, no problem, thanks for the poke/reminder

Thanks joeboy for making and maintaining it!
We have a policy of only installing from official PyPI, although I can see that
in the age of github PyPI's updating mechanisms seem a bit ancient...
