Game crashes on 1280x960 on comm screen. #110

From another tester:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start game, go to Ur-Quan probe.
2. Crash.
3. Game runs in 640x480, you can load a 640x480 savegame, but getting into comm 
part crashes the game.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I got the same bug on my side at revision 807.
I remember starting a new game and doing the same thing to show a friend just 2 
days ago, at revision 802. So the bug occurred because of a modification 
between r802 and r807. 

Since my exec is still from revision 764 however, I am wondering if it's 
possible for the game to crash because of code modification. Seems strange... 
anyway the crash console shows it's happening at line 82 on oscill.c

I'll see if I can find more crash conditions.

Same crash on my side if I try to talk to Fwiffo.
So it seems related to the communication module with aliens.
Can it be related to issue 111 ? Just strange that those 2 issues, both fairly 
major, happens at the same time.

After testing some previous versions using SVN revert, I can confirm the bug is 
located in revision 802.

Solution: Do not load starbase .pngs into activity.ani.
