Which resolution are you using? (important!)
4x at 1366x768

Does this bug appear at other resolutions?
Yes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter a battle with a gas giant that has rings
2. Touch the ring without touching the planet body

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The rings ought to just be decoration that isn't involved in any collision 
detection, but instead, they are an extension of the planet body. This screws 
up a lot of planet-related tactics.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Beta 1 on Trisquel

Damon, what d'you reckon about this? After all, a gas giant's ring consists 
partly of solid stuff that could do some serious damage to a ship in real life 
too...
