Which resolution are you using? (important!)
can't run the game, but trying Beta for UQM HD

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
UQM HD Beta 1 on windows 8.1 (x64).
Installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) -
twice. have the Net framework (built into the system).

I have the file in the system32 directory. even tried to register it using cmd,
but the command i found didn't work.

Please provide any additional information below.

would really like to play the HD :(

Thanks for any advice!
Ohad

I should point out that i managed to fix the problem.
the 64bit machines need the 84bit c++ installed as well as the 64 one...

Marking as invalid. Ohad has already fixed the problem.
This is an issue of installing the correct c++ redistributable.
There is also a Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 redistributable too.
Sometimes restarting the computer fixes the issue.
I have Windows 8, and it works fine. It also works under Windows 8.1
When somebody encounters this problem, be sure they download and install the
correct redistributable. If somebody has a way of finding out which
redistributable is needed, and automatically installing it, then let me know.
Otherwise, there's not much we can do.
