When i boot into recovery mode, it said This copy of installassistant is missing or damaged and cannot be used to install macOS big sur. I tried to reinstall install assistant package (MacOS 11.2.3) but it gives me the same error. I've also tried to use Patched-Sur instead, but that won't work too. (Neither does Open Core Legacy Patcher) Im on a Mid 2012 mac. Can Any1 help?

I have come across other installations that give this error. In my experience it can be when the Memory (RAM) has been updated with non-apple memory DIMMS, even if the updated memory has no errors and passes a memory test - such as memtest86. No idea why this happens, or why the installer fails for this scenario. The fix - If you still have them install some original Apple DIMMs - Normally Hynix, Samsung or Micron. Then do the install, and when complete, swap back your updated memory DIMMS.
