When an item is erroneously created, either as a duplicate or to address something that is no longer needed, there is no process to delete or remove it.
If addressed quickly, merging or editing item is sufficient. However, for old items, this may break exported collections, especially if the item is recycled.
What should happen next to reduce disruptions and improve backwards compatibility?
Expected behavior
URI should remain consistent as long as possible, but if they do change, there should be an easy way to do so without manually changing several things every time. Collections, bundles, related, title matches, ITAD links.
Additional context, device information (OS & Browser) if applicable
