A tarball build with a fully self-contained Riak "installation". Basically, a rel with the patched Basho Erlang.
Automating the build or putting builds on the rel page would be ideal.
What are we planning on doing with these 'self-contained riak 'installations'?
FWIW - You can almost (minus the erlang distro) make your own: make package or even make pkg-devrel
jira
This is required by mid-July.

Any update from the team?
Paul and DevOps are aware of the request and are planning on delivering in the next 2 weeks.
We've worked around DevOps, and built our own build infrastructure. Don't need it anymore.

We need a relocatable release (ideally for Linux). Right now, the only one I see one the website is for Mac OS X: http://docs.basho.com/riak/latest/downloads/. It would be great if release engineering built these. I don't really care if they're unsupported.
Right now, we can hack away around it by building from source, and hand-crafting the binary, but this would be ideal because then we can surface the package to the Mesos slave.
