I opened a ticket with Proxmox about directly adding this functionality: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3784

Thank you!

Are there any updates on this? The bugzilla conversation you linked seems to have died out and I haven't seen the option in proxmox yet. Is there any way to "hype" this feature request so the proxmox team will be more likely to take a look at it?

The last things I've seen:

Developer working on the patch pinging the Proxmox development mailing list for review last week: https://lists.proxmox.com/pipermail/pve-devel/2023-June/057720.html

I asked about in the Proxmox 8.0 release notice forum post: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-ve-8-0-beta-released.128677/#post-563099

Awesome thanks for the update!

Hoping they get it in the next point release. Edit: Anyone running 8.1? https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/qemu-8-1-available-on-pvetest-as-of-now.136227/

Edit: would the changes be in qemu-server? Not seeing anything relevant in http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve/dists/bookworm/pvetest/binary-amd64/qemu-server_8.0.7.changelog

I don't believe support has been merged to qemu-server yet. From the mailing list, V7 of the patchset was still in review a few weeks ago, and I don't see any "applied" email since then confirming it's merge. https://lists.proxmox.com/pipermail/pve-devel/2023-October/059446.html
