Shutdown doesn't work #182

Hello, I followed every step in the guide but I'm no able to remote shutdown the host. I alredy tried modifying registry but nothing happpen.

If I use Legacy mode I receive Error access denied, while if I use WMI Please wait and nothing happens.

I'm on private network.

Is this a workgroup? if so, then legacy mode is probably the best choice. Access Denied indicates that the userid and password were not authorized to shutdown the remote machine. I suggest, just as a test, use a local administrator account to see if that works.

I'm in a private network (Win 10 default WORKGROUP). I alredy used the local administrator account (microsoft login) + legacy but it doesn't work.

Shall include the complete login microsoft adress (xxxxx@xxx.com) or just the name I see in the login page?
