The pictured devices in the source under ICPSHC24 is actually a FLOALT L1529. This can be seen on the background where it says L1529. The transformer is part of the FLOALT in this case. This also is apperant when looking at the actual outputs, they feed into 2 output stages.

I took this information from here. I tend to stick with marketing name.

Hmm, I'm not sure I follow @basilfx as the PDF you link is the declaration of conformity yeah? Which yes, does list the marketing name of the power supply. But the device you described you described as from the links [0] and [1] in PRODUCTS.md right? Well [0] only talks about the introduction and basically has the image [1] in its title. So if you gathered your information about the driver from the image [1] you where documenting the driver that is in the FLOALT Trådfri 60x60. Go look at the picture again, you see it on the left side, the marketing name is listed there. We can also find this name in the declaration of conformity as can be seen here [2]. What this commit does is nothing more then to rename your findings for the FLOALT driver appropriately.

My other PR #10 actually adds the real ICPSHC24 10 Watt driver as I actually opened one and photographed it as the photo meta might show (they are cropped so gimp may have stripped that). I think whoever supplied the photo to the article just used what they found and did a guess that it would be similar. This also becomes apparent when you look at the output stages. They have 2 PWMs which makes sense for a FLOALT as it has orange and white LED's to give those multi color whites. The ICPSHC24 drivers only do single output, colorless.

P.S./OT meanwhile I bought a 30W version as well and will create a PR for it similarly. I needed the PSU for something else so removed the FET board and removed the white gulp. Photo's soon.

Right, that makes sense. Sorry, I think I mixed up two type names :-)

If I merge #10, then this one can be closed (since #10 also includes this commit). Right?

Hey Bas,

Yeah you can if you wish use PR #10 as well. This PR was just done sooner and can be still used if you wish to separate concerns. Either or is fine with me, they are both up-to-date.

basilfx commented 6 years ago

I have merged #10 in that case. Thanks!
