Question / Minimum requirements #50

What are the minimum requirements for running the addon?

I'd like to have a remote / standalone stream deck as dashboard for my Home Assistant instance. I'd like attach it to a Raspberry Pi but I am not sure which one to get.

Will a Pi Zero be sufficient?

Personally, I have only tried it with a Raspberry Pi 4 and an Intel Nuc. If someone would try it I will be happy to add something to the README about whether it works or not.

I'm running on a Dell Wyse 3040 (with Ubuntu on it), which are usually found for a bit cheaper than a Pi 4 these days.

How is the performance? Any noticable latency?

Once started takes about 40 seconds to pull down all the home assistant entities. Only have a Stream mini but response is fine no noticeable lag . Im currently testing turning off the CPU cores on the Orange PI , as running off battery want to try and increase battery life.

No luck with the PI Zero W too far out of date , updating Python was a trial . If I could get a PI zero 2 W should work OK, but availability is the issue .
