Enable platform-specific features from PortAudio #16

This is not urgent, but at some point it might be interesting to support some of the platform-specific features and settings which are available from PortAudio: http://portaudio.com/docs/v19-doxydocs/group__public__header.html

Of course this must not harm the portable features in any way.

This is not something I am interested in doing, personally. If someone else were to do it though, I'd be happy to merge it.
