Batocera 37 upgrade to 38 sound issue (win 64bit) #10241

Running on a dell optiplex 7040 with intel i5 6500t CPU, 8G RAM and 512G SSD.

It was running fine on 37 and after upgrading to 38 it started to have HDMI sound issues - all games audio cracking, even nes, across the board.

probably this from the changelog - Warning: Batocera is now set up to the default TV resolution on most systems. If you are running a Raspberry Pi4 or a low-end PC on a display capable of higher than 1080p and notice a performance problem, please adjust a one-time configuration option in SYSTEM SETTINGS -> FRONTEND DEVELOPER OPTIONS -> VIDEO MODE for EmulationStation. You can also still set the emulators resolution in GAME SETTINGS -> VIDEO MODE.

I have a similar problem with Batocera 38. It was running fine on my Acer Aspire E1-722G with Nvidia 820m and Intel integrated graphics. From what I see in version 37, it was running on the Intel chip. I never tried to run it on Nvidia because all my emulation was working very well. After the update to version 38, the display goes black after the particle animation. Sometimes, by clicking Ctrl-Alt-F1, then F2, then F3, then F1, etc., the screen appears. Setting the Batocera configuration file with Nvidia Prime and all other combinations doesn't work. I would like to revert back to version 37, but when I try to install Batocera on the disk from my version 37 USB pen drive, it installs version 38. So, my Batocera today doesn't run. Any help? Thanks in advance

Just follow this guide to manually install 37 back: https://wiki.batocera.org/upgrade_manually
