@jdorigao or @Ntemis can you look into this before v40 final?
It's a uboot issue and it's on my list to check. The battery charge is normal, just the image is not shown.
Battery did charge to 96%. I had to reflash the OS to get it working. It still doesn't charge right while on, it charges and stops and so on (according to the icon on screen)
so we have 4% variation of what the os reports
Not sure, the OS is reporting 23% after an overnight charge. That's with the supplied charger and a 5v 3amp charger
Im going to flash the "ogu - 40-dev-5b0ef89e2a 2024/04/09 19:38" version and see if anything changes
Yeah there is an issue for sure. I shutdown at 23%. Reflashed the ogu - 40-dev-5b0ef89e2a 2024/04/09 19:38 version and now its reporting at 96%
One im back home I'll take photos of each version for verification
I tried something else. I flashed a different OS (Rocknix) and the battery reads 100% Batocera randomly jumped between 26% and 96%
ogu - 40-dev-50820ec8c6 2024/06/05 20:50
Issue seems to be fixed, will continue testing. Thanks Devs, you guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit, Battery was at 44% after some testing, I charged from 10pm to 2:30am and the battery still reads 44%
Is there anything I can do to help ???
Going to try the new version this weekend ([batocera-s922x-ogu-40-20240701.img.gz]

Issue description
Charging seems to not work at all on the OGU. Normally I'd see a Battery Charging Screen when off. With Batocera the OGU doesn't charge while off (tried for 36 hours straight). Also doesn't charge during use.
Detailed reproduction steps
Flash Batocera to OGU
Try to charge with supplied charging cable
Try all Cables and Bricks, no dice
Details of any attempts to fix this yourself
Ways I've tried charging:
Tried while in suspend mode, tried while on, tried with screen saver. Tried powered off, tried hard power off (holding power button), tried with 5v 1amp all the way to 5v 4amp. Nothing
Details of any modifications you have made to Batocera.
None, just Roms on an SD Card
