This issue is 2 years old now and if the links above are correct, the problem persists since Batocera Version 30.
According to one of the links above, user "aaronouthier" managed to solve the issue:
Could anybody be so nice and give some feedback on the problem. Did the devs drop the support for XU4? What exactly is the underlying cause of the problem. What needs to be done to fix it? It that a XU4 only problem or do other systems suffer from this emmc problem?
I completely understand that creating a linux distro is a big undertaking and as a fellow sw developer I know how difficult it is sometimes to keep track of bigger and smaller priorities. Could you please give a short statement on this issue and support of the xu4 in general.
Considering the solution aaronouthier posted in the forums 2 years ago, a solution to the problem doesn't seem to complex. I would gladly help, but unfortunately I'm just a simple web dev without any experience in linux... :(
Odroid XU4 does not boot on emmc storage. I was check some reason I think need boot.ini file on XU4 but some tryouts not success.
