Batocera does not work properly on Radxa Zero 512MB #7291

Hello, I recently ordered a Radxa Zero with 512MB of RAM and put batocera-s905gen2-35-20220910.img. The menu loads with no problems. I can connect to wifi and can load roms to the system with no issues with SMB. As soon as I try any of the games included on the img the screen goes blank and it freezes for a long time (4+ minutes). One time I was able to wait and when I came back the Nintendo game 2048 was able to load and I was able to play it but it took so long to get there it wasn't right. I exited the game and started the same game again and it took 10 minutes and I gave up.

This is with no changes to anything other than configuring the controller. I re-downloaded the img file and flashed it to the sd card again and got the same results. The only log that has anything in it is attached.

drop the resolution down from 1080p to 480p may help. these low ram devices really suffer

I have tried everything I can think of to limit the resolution to 640x480. I set es.resolution=max-640x480 and also set in the game settings a max of 640x480. It still does not work. I can however install batocera on my Pi Zero W and everything works. It has the same amount of ram but the Radxa Zero should be significantly more powerful. Anyone know how else I can troubleshoot this? I would really like to get this working.
