Very slow wifi / disconnects in both v34, v36 - works in other distro. v38 wont work on S905W - DTB 281

I have been playing around with a GD10 Game Stick, which I have running: batocera-s905-tvbox-36-20230304.img (DTB: 281)

I have 2 issues on this version

1. The boot up goes black for around 25-30 seconds (After the boot this is then fine)
2. The USB wifi dongle either decides not to work OR is very slow.

I tested an older version: batocera-s905-tvbox-34-20220523.img.gz

1. The boot up shows the bootup screen, although this jitters around the screen slightly
2. The USB wifi dongle is also slow in this version

I have 2 USB dongles, they both work correctly in EmuELEC.

I then tried both an Upgrade to and then a Fresh Install of: batocera-s905-tvbox-38-20230813.img.gz as the upgrade failed to boot and then so did the fresh install failed to boot.

The main issue is the slow wifi / disconnects as I can live with the boot screen going blank.

I would also love to try out v38, however not had any luck getting this to work.

@contemptx can you SSH into the box and run the following commands ? lsmod lsusb then copy output to this thread

It looks like some module (kernel driver) / firmware issue for your USB wifi dongle.

The missing boot logo missing is a issue I have on various architectures I have not been able to fix so far :( Could use some help from @dmanlfc @nadenislamarre @Ntemis

I will try v38 on some S905 tv box (I don't have S905W however) but late August or early September, about to leave on vacation.
