No display to 4k Hdmi but yes SSH ,working with Tv Android Box with Batocera 35 #9870

HiI have a Android Box working with Batocera 35 ,connected to a Tv Toshiba hdmi with resolution 1366x768 ,and everything its ok ,but when in connect to a 4K Tv,  i can not get image, i can connect to ssh (so batocera its running) but no image. I tried two diferents hdmis cables. Also i tryed with ssh:

1) export display=:0.0 batocera-resolution listOuputs batocera-resolution

2) edit batocera-boot.conf es.resolution=max-1920x1080 and nothing

But i connect to the toshiba and i see batocera perfect.... Any idea?

X96 Max Plus, its really strange That i can get image in a tv without 4k and not in a 4k tv

Hi,

I tryed from the link and i think its for another version of tv Box, maybe for a Amlogic S905/S905x? X96 Max Plus has a s905x3 ,so i download batocera-s905gen3-tvbox-gen3-38-20230814 and also same error, i see image in Thoshiba Not 4k but impossible with a Tcl 4k version.

Also i have done a upgre from v35 and a fresh install from v38 ,also same... Also i have tryed to game settings: video mode to maxium 1920x1080 and System Settings Video Output to HDMI-A-1

Also i connect to Tcl 4k Not image connect to Toshiba and image...

Thanks ,any idea?

You need to play with the DTBs to find the good one for your device. Beware those X96 Max Plus can have random hardware except S905X3 SoC and also fake memory.

So even if it's labeled 4G RAM of whatever, you might need to use 2G RAM dtb or another one.

If that's still not working edit your extlinux.conf file in the APPEND section to force output at 1080p or 720p adding either: video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080@60 video=HDMI-A-1:1280x720@60

HI , Thanks @rtissera , Today i found another beta to download and works!!!! This version is date v38 (2023/09/24) Now i can play it with latest version of beta and a 4k Tv. But not all works.... with this version i can not use lan ,but with v35 yes ,with same dtb file meson-sm1-x96-max-plus-100m.dtb Maybe its a bug for the beta? Or i have to try to find another dtb to works with this new version?

Great ! The LAN issue is 99% a dtb one switch between 100m and gigabit dtb.

@rtissera ,thanks, so maybe a dtb Works for a concrete version of batocera and maybe not for another version? I tyed many dtb files but maybe not the concrete.. Thanks!
