Feature request - Syncing books and status with Calibre #125

I'm not sure if this is possible, or even the correct place to ask, but I would love the ability to sync my books and read status with Calibre or Kobo. I use a plugin to copy my read status over to calibre when I sync my Kobo, and I'd like a way to sync that to my home instance of Jelu.

Not sure if it's possible or if there is a better place to ask for this, sorry if it's the wrong place or not possible.

If I understand correctly you use a calibre plugin to sync the read status from your kobo. So the easiest way that would match your flow would be a calibre plugin that syncs the progress to your jelu instance. I don't know if a jelu plugin exists in calibre, it should not be too complicated to create since calibre has all the infos needed.

That is correct. I have looked and there doesn't seem to be a calibre plugin for Jelu,

I'm not a programmer unfortunately, but it seems like a project to try to learn on.

Now that I've had a bit more coffee, I realize I'm thinking of this the wrong way. I didn't do any kind of import on my initial setup, so I was adding my owned books manually. I can use a plugin to export my library to goodreads, export that and import it to Jelu then just update my reading status once the book is read.
