[BUG] [ clear linux 39860 ] [ hybrid mode no working ] #125

Describe the bug envycontrol work for switch to integrated but in hybrid its no work its stay in NVIDIA only gpu in setting.

-- To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

git clone https://github.com/geminis3/envycontrol.git

cd envycontrol

sudo python3 ./envycontrol.py --switch hybrid --rtd3

I reboot I see only gpu NVIDIA is used in settings.

Expected behavior Switched to hybrid mode

Looks like Nvidia driver for Clear Linux ships with a non standard config, did it boot with Nvidia graphics just after installing the drivers?

yes.

I found in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf force nvidia only = "PrimaryGPU" "yes" changing this settings = gdm refuse to connect my session.

wayland is available too I see in clear linux , and by default its in hybrid , tested envycontrol run fine in wayland.

Can you boot after removing the file?

I found in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf force nvidia only = "PrimaryGPU" "yes" changing this settings = gdm refuse to connect my session.

I have wayland available too in gdm I see , and by default its in hybrid , tested envycontrol run fine in wayland.

I found in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf force nvidia only = "PrimaryGPU" "yes" changing this settings = gdm refuse to connect my session. yes I should ask them to look at that for x11 . their packaging is updated recently

I see only that in config for set gpu nvidia as default https://github.com/marioroy/nvidia-driver-on-clear-linux/blob/main/install-driver#L333

I will close issue seem its not enycontrol issue . anyway its work in wayland I will no loose many time by settings wayland as default issue is resolved ...
