Describe the bug

I installed envycontrol and switched to Nvidia to test everything. When using nvidia mode, lightdm does not start, and I get a black screen with a cursor that blinks once and is then solid.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run sudo envycontrol -s nvidia
  2. restart

Expected behavior Lightdm should start and computer should run with nvidia card.

If anyone knows how to get nvidia mode to work, that would be great. thanks!

hey there, i have manjaro xfce installed with ilghtdm i will test out in my system and reach you out.

just did sudo envycontrol -s nvidia --dm lightdm yeah worked for me. nvidia-settings nvidia-smi

the last time when i use Arch , i had the issue the lightdm was not logging in . giving me the black screen issue. it's the skill issue you can search the fix in arch wiki. thank you

@username227 please provide proper logs from xorg nor lightdm, thanks!
