I am going by this comparison of the available licenses. What are your thoughts on "allowing commercial use"?
I'm not against commercial use per se. What if we (or somebody else) created a zine based on a case study and wanted to sell copies of this zine?
I wouldn't recommend just dropping non-commercial though; I recommend adding ShareAlike, to ensure sharing is preserved. I believe this to be much more important and positive.
@bayesways Regardless of the license, we should have a LICENSE
file at the repo's root level.
I believe that sharing this work under CC BY-SA 4.0 would be much more positive than the current CC BY-NC 4.0.
Anecdotally, we mentioned what we liked in ShareAlike in our recent blog post http://ivory.idyll.org/blog/2017-digital-commons-funding.html (under "How is the collective dimension enforced?").
