there is no direction on how to set the usb adapter as your main NIC #222

Description of the problem

I see the USB Device detected within 'Info Center' of DSM, which shows 2.5G LAN, but it does not show up as a network interface

DS220+ DSM 7.1-42661 Update 1 ASUS USB-C2500

Description of your environment

  • connected via an Ethernet switch
  • Ethernet switch: TRENDnet TPE-TG380
  • cable category (Cat.6)

You can close. It worked after I restarted the NAS. Might want to put that in the installation instructions for people who are having similar issues.
