Same, same but different: MacPro (10G build in) -> DS1517+ (AliExpress 15€ usb 2.5G B-version adapter, 2.14.0-2 (beta)) 2 rounds of BlackMagic disk speed Read 235Mbps, Write 230Mbps and DS 2.5G port dies.
Same but Macbook pro 2012 (AliEx 2.5G, Realtek driver ver. 1.0.22) -> DS1517+ (AliEx 2.5G) BlackMagic about 15-20 rounds and DS 2.5 port dies.
I will send dmesg and other info later (is there anything I can test or get some more info?)

Did you already try the front usb?
Actually I was in a hurry and I got only front usb working, so nothing from the back. I will make more tests with 1517+ but now I am testing DS713+, and Its not working at all. But I just started so we will see what happens.
for 1515+ no front usb. is there sw or hw fix to stop this disconnection?

The front usb on a DS713+ is only USB-2.

I'm testing back USB on a DS916+, so far it works
@bb-qq any recommendation? or workaround sw or hw ?
thank You

It seems a hang-up has occurred in the device or the host controller.
Have you tried the new driver(2.14)? It might change something because the new driver has a new firmware patch of the device.
@bb-qq I tried it and it does the same issue, I tried external powered USB, and different shielded cable) it helps but still happens.
Do you think the 5Gbe device/driver will have the same issue?
thanks
@bb-qq I bought the qnap 5gbe and I am expericing the same issue with your other driver too
@bb-qq how can we donate to support this project?
any way to fix it? am using ds1515+
thanks
Sorry for my late reply. There seem to be more reports of stability issues on the Avoton platform. Some users seem to have no problems at all, so I'm not sure what the cause is, but I suspect it is an Individual difference or hardware problem of the XHCI host controller.
I appreciate your offer to donate, but since I'm just porting the official Linux drivers, I don't have any ideas on how to solve this kind of problem.
