For ongoing improved reporting in system level FDD & HVAC analytic features see Link for the LBNL PDF download above make sure we are providing ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS. Currently there isnt anything about prioritization of faults or any monitory engineering type of calculations building into this.
For AHU Systems make scatter plots of leaving temperatures Vs outside air temperature
Look into making heat maps of fault conditions if fault rules are ran across large datasets that incorporate many different seasons with the idea of the heat map to show seasonal components to faults IF the time-of-day histogram is not useful
NOTES to ask G36 fault equation author:
OS 1 for heating mode is this supposed to be only when fan is running? What about unnoc AHU mix air temp control for low limit protection when AHU is off in cold weather...
I think FC6 (OS1 & OS4 for AHU htg/clg only) should be modified to accommodate AHUs without heating or cooling coils. So the flag could be true if the OA < 10 for heating mode or OA temp > 80 for clg mode. ALSO what about FC6 for flagging too little OA? FC6 flags only excessive OA but what about too little?
Incorporate a fault for a frozen sensor fault... which maybe more of a signal processing approach detecting a sensor that isn't changing value over time
