Hi,
some tests fails on java 8 [1], Fedora 22 Linux all arch
any ideas?

I can not reproduce this with:
Mac OS X 10.9.4
java version "1.8.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_20-b26)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.20-b23, mixed mode)

Neither can I on Debian testing
Maven 3.0.5
openjdk version "1.8.0_40-internal"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_40-internal-b04)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.40-b08, mixed mode)
