This repo was put in front of me fairly recently.

The documentation mentions that it has a front-end, but is this more of an archival engine? Are there any websites or examples of it running somewhere? How close is this to a production ready state?

Hi there,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I didn't get a notification for this

The documentation mentions that it has a front-end, but is this more of an archival engine?

This was originally designed to be a replacement for Asagi, with a very simple thread viewer. Later on as the thread viewer got more advanced it became a potential candidate to succeed FoolFuuka which influenced a lot of design decisions (heavy use of APIs for frontend logic, which is a lot more scalable than serving rendered HTML)

As a result it supports posts ilke a live imageboard; even if it's not the main goal of the software

Are there any websites or examples of it running somewhere?

I've added some screenshots to the README of the frontend. Otherwise the only public instance I know of is https://22chan.org/

How close is this to a production ready state?

Depends on your definition of production-ready; while it's stable, secure and has basic capabilities as an imageboard, it's missing a lot of other imageboard features (doesn't support a lot of text effects, no catalog page, no quick reply etc.)

Hm, was looking into ways to host an 'in house' 'vichan-like' software's archive and it's an option.

Thanks for getting back to me
