in problem 3, I mean the equilibrium where both P and V are non-zero
for all problems after 2, assume r > 0
in question 6, "draw the phase plane" means drawing a two-dimensional plot with the axes corresponding to prey and predators and the nullclines and identifying the equilibria. Quiver plots are optional.
in question 7, "draw the phase plane dynamics" means drawing a two-dimensional plot showing the trajectory with the axes corresponding to prey and predators

If we assume r>0, then something seems wrong with question 5. We have the trace > 0, given that all parameters are positive, so then for any value of e, g, or h there is a positive eigenvalue and thus the system is unstable.

Is the part in the opening blurb about the handling time being 1/h correct? I'm working on the extra credit question and it seems to make sense if the handling time is h, but not 1/h.

@lonsdaa: yes, handling time is h, not 1/h.
