Let major ticks start anywhere

Currently, the major ticks start at the far left (or bottom) and work their way up. But what if we don't want a tick at the very edge of the plot, but offset a little bit? This needs to be added in as another feature.

While this is being worked on, the minor ticks locations need to be modified so that they will also support this. Currently, the ticks will start at the first major tick, so if the major ticks don't start at the end of the plot, then there will be no minor ticks to the left of the first major tick.
