I bumped up the priority.

To fit with Steve's new program, this basically means to create a scanner 
object for the translation stage. I've done that for two pieces of equipment, 
now (spectrometer and pulse generator), so I think if you can get a few basic 
commands ("go to point xx", etc.) working nicely, I can show you how to 
translate that into a scanner object pretty easily.
