As someone born in the Ottawa valley, I suspect many of my Canadian-isms are actually Valley-isms...

e.g. I considered a pull request with 

        Regional("chesterfield", "couch", Endings.S);
        Regional("ottoman", "foot stool", Endings.S);
        Regional("pop", "soda", Endings.S);

So take my suggestions, or leave 'em, eh? ya hoser...

There are at least two interesting questions there.

This little tool has its origins in the transcription business, so changing vocabulary was never in scope there, only spelling. That said, for this more general use, changing vocabulary could be completely relevant. I don't have a lot of bandwidth for maintaining this, but I'm certainly open to the idea.

Separately though, whether given vocabulary differences are Canadian/American or various other regional variations is a harder nut to crack. Having grown up in Ontario, lived in Montreal, then Seattle, and finally Victoria I have certainly discovered lots of things that I original thought were Canadianisms were more local/regionalisms.

That pop vs soda one is a great example - it made the rounds online ages ago, there's a dedicated website even: https://popvssoda.com/

I think for vocab in general, we'd want to have some clear external evidence that a word or phrase was very closely correlated with the country and not some other region.
