Contact Phase 2 live projects #67

Closed ThibaultBC closed 5 months ago

ThibaultBC commented 6 months ago

We want to contact the existing live projects in the old Azure phase 2 landing zone, to inform them of upcoming change in Azure Managed Landing zone, to understand if they plan to decommission their project soon or transition to the future landing zone.

We want to understand their usage and also assess readiness to transition to plan next steps.

Acceptance Criteria:

Here is the content of the email to send:

Subject: Your Azure Project - Information required

Body:

Good afternoon, We are reaching out to you because you are listed as one of the contacts for a project hosted in the BC Gov’s tenancy in Azure (Add project name/ID). OCIO’s Digital Office is exploring an opportunity to build a managed hosting service and a secure, compliant landing zone within Microsoft’s Azure public cloud that complies with B.C. government standards for Protected B data classification. In close collaboration with the Digital Workplaces team in CITZ and Microsoft, this initiative will aim to establish a service offering in Azure that mirrors the secure and compliant AWS hosting environment already in place. As we work to assess the existing landing zone in Azure, we would like to understand what plans Ministry teams have for the existing projects in Azure. Please respond to this email indicating whether your project(s) in Azure is in use and will continue to be used in the next 1-2 years (include any information about the future growth of the service), or if you plan to be decommissioning your project this fiscal year. We will keep you updated as the Azure Landing Zone Build-Out project progresses, and more information becomes available. If you would like to have further discussion about the work that OCIO is leading in Azure, please let us know.

Thank you, Public Cloud Team, Digital Office, OCIO

The initial email has been sent on Tuesday, April 16th.

This task becomes listing the projects and collecting answers, as well as following up with teams that have not answered. @abibat-adesina can you please work on this this sprint?
