Organize card sort #170

We need to find out the best way to organize the information on the data set view. This will be reflected in build pages

We could do this with a card sort exercise at a sprint demo.

  1. show people what a data set looks like now to give context for what we need to do.
  2. have card sort setup ahead of time
  3. explain how card sorting works, maybe with a demo of non-related cards

https://www.uxtweak.com/ has a free card sorting tool. Max of 20 cards and 10 participants

These are the fields we need to categorize.

  1. Authoritative info (checkbox)
  2. Critical information (checkbox)
  3. Data quality issues (open text field)
  4. Data set description (open text field)
  5. Data set historical change (open text field)
  6. Granularity (select list)
  7. High value info (checkbox)
  8. Information schedule (complex field, combines text and numbers)
  9. Modified date (refers to modification of metadata record)
  10. Office of primary responsibility (complex field, text fields)
  11. Published date (when data set was published from source)
  12. Security classification (select list)
  13. Series (select list - grouping of datasets. ATT refund applications, Federal census, Labour force survey etc)
  14. Source system (GenTax, Revenue Management System, Grants management etc)
  15. Type (product type/ data set type/ format)
  16. Used in products
