Are the docs on configuring permissions up-to-date, and relevant to FDC users? #557

What's your Question?

In the documentation for how to configure site permissions as they relate to Organizations (of users and MRs), the steps begin like this:

  1. log in as a Data catalogue administrator
  2. navigate to Manage > Configuration > People > Access by Taxonomy

I have the "Data catalogue administrator" in the dev environment, but I cannot see a "People" submenu under Manage > Configuration. Nicole said it might be because one would actually need to have a Drupal administrator role to see this menu. Is that the case?

Nicole also mentioned that this particular piece of documentation may not be a sensible fit for the FDC documentation book, since it's a platform-administrative / developer detail. What do we think? Is there a more appropriate place to put this info? (Ex. GitHub Wiki, or repo README?)

This is a Drupal Admin permission. @david-fong-bc please put a note here to say it only applies to Drupal Admins.

We agree that it's a good idea to leave this documentation in FDC docs instead of moving to GH wiki. GH wiki is more for dev stuff.
