If I try to engage a filter where I typed a single empty space in it (e.g., looking for records with empty entries for that field), the application crashes and I get a blank screen.

Need to confirm with @aclowery if there is ever a need to search for blanks in fields (apart from email, which has a preset filter for blanks already), and what the preference is for how to do so.
