This script could make a good vignette (maybe several?).

A few to do items to make this possible

[ ] general cleanup and commenting
[x] try to reduce pkg dependencies
[ ] make all necessary files/data accessible via the pkg data/ folder -> @kdaust please add any additional data necessary and relative paths to it
[x] improve figures -- remove saving
[x] convert all paths to relative paths (!) -> @kdaust please have a look here

@kdaust, @cmahony, reminder to all of us:

think about ways in which to visualize results (multiple GCMs, multiple runs for a GCMs, baseline vs future projections, etc...)

A modified version of the steps in this script was incorporated into vignette("climr_workflow_int.Rmd")
