Can responses be submitted as an attached document? or are responses to be pasted into text boxes. Also, is there any word count limitations for responses to this opportunity?

Hi @Lauren-Ara - putting your entire response in an attached document is totally fine (we realize the text boxes and editor are not a pleasant experience). Maybe just make a note in the text box something like, "please see attached proposal."

As for word count, maybe @scayzer can suggest a range, but I don't see anything in the proposal eval criteria that puts a limit on it.

Thanks @mark-a-wilson - no hard limit on words, and nothing in the evaluation criteria, as Mark noted. Even so, conciseness is a good thing.

Hi, we have some questions about this opportunity:

Which cloud service providers do you anticipate using? If the complete list is not known at this point, what is the expected number of cloud providers to be tested?
Could you clarify what’s meant by “readily deployed” in 1a? For example, we think this could mean “the architecture of the application(s) allow it to be deployed to various cloud providers”, or “configurations to deploy to various cloud providers have been defined and tested”, etc.
We assume the project will be using test instances and not the production instance of applications and/or storage. Can you confirm?
In addition to the plans, are there other deliverables expected, e.g. OpenShift configurations?
Can you briefly describe the current build and deployment pipelines for the target applications? Thanks for any clarification you can offer!

Most of the information you’re asking about is provided in the posted opportunity, and linked GitHub repositories, to the extent it is known prior to starting our work on this engagement. The Gateway Phase is intended to enable us to learn more.

On each bullet: • Posting listed some cloud service providers – to be further sorted out in Gateway Phase • Yes architecture, yes configurations – also to be further sorted out in Gateway Phase • Work with teams in the Gateway Phase to figure out these details • You’re welcome to suggest the right deliverables in your proposal, and this also can be negotiated in the Gateway Phase • Refer to linked GitHub repositories

Thank you to everyone who applied! We received 7 proposals, and with people taking some Summer time off, our evaluation looks like taking a little longer - we're now planning to finish our evaluation and announce an assignment by end of day on Monday, August 12, with work to start on Wednesday, August 14.
