Hey @JohnamLane - Is the business area expecting a design change to make it clearer(like add 4 options instead of 2)? Or just more verbiage on the screen to make it more clear?
@janisrogers We will be picking up this work as part of the new out-of-province option that IDIM is rolling out in mid Sept.
Ideally, changes to this page would be done in conjunction with a broader survey of how accounts are created (types and payment methods)
@JohnamLane @lmcclung Is there more information about the new option?
@janisrogers Here's a slide deck with an overview of the new option Expanded User Base Beyond BC Services Card Holders Beta Client Kickoff BC Registry Service.pdf
@forgeuxGH5 I understand you will be able to start work on this while Janis is away. Thank you so much, please let me know if you have any questions. If it's preferable to move the non-BC gov agency tick-box into the account creation flow, I would be interested in seeing an example of that without revising the entire account creation flow (which will happen later).
@JohnamLane main question is when you need this finalized by...
@forgeuxGH5 @janisrogers Linda has just confirmed that this Beta will be done on the IDIM side end of October. please have the design complete in time for grooming on October 11th
sure - I'm just looking for the date you need the design finalized by - ready for grooming
@forgeuxGH5 Thank you, good reminder. Ideal date for design to be done is October 11th.
@forgeuxGH5 IDIM will also be offering a physical token version of the BCSC. Can the token offering be rolled into this suite of revisions? IDIM will be providing support material to explain the different options and will be preparing public websites that we can link to. We would just need to explain the options on this page.
@JohnamLane few questions need to verify with you... for physical token:
Do you have IDIM contact that we can check with regarding these: IDIM will be providing support material to explain the different options and will be preparing public websites that we can link to. thanks
@jennyschan @forgeuxGH5 @janisrogers I have asked IDIM for any training material they have on the token and the non-BC flow.
For the above questions:
@JohnamLane @jennyschan Question 1 was not specific to the token, it was about the BCSC. For instance, if you are Canadian, but live outside of Canada, are you able to get one?
@janisrogers @jennyschan The non-BC BCSC option is only available to Canadians (must show Canadian ID) The hardware token is open to BCSC holders only
@janisrogers A couple of notes can be added to detract from BCeID.
Hey team! Please add your planning poker estimate with Zenhub @thorwolpert @seeker25 @lekshmimallika-aot @MatthewCai2002 @Ashna-FreshWorks
@janisrogers I added comments to the wireframe. Let's chat about this next week - once we make changes to the text I will be able to review again. Thanks!
@magszymanski I have reviewed your comments (and made a couple of other changes). Please take a look again if you have a chance.
@janisrogers looks good to me! The bottom of the screen cuts off now though - not sure what happened:
@tlebedovich - This is ready for your visual design. I moved the expanded help onto a separate page. Can you take a look at that page too? Thanks
@janisrogers - design work done - please review
Looks good. Thanks @tlebedovich @JohnamLane This is ready for dev. I'm not sure if there is a dev ticket or if you are using the design ticket as the dev ticket?
@lekshmimallika-aot Regarding the icons. I’m pretty sure these are material icons. mdiCardAccountDetailsOutline and mdiCertificateOutline
Looks good in dev. Ready for QA
Ashna passed the QA, but Trish + John requested more changes.
Reverting this PR, should bring them back: https://github.com/bcgov/sbc-auth/pull/2128
@lekshmimallika-aot Changes required (new design in description - no changes to expanded help)
PR - https://github.com/bcgov/sbc-auth/pull/2148. This will be merged once we have the approval to deploy to prod
We've removed this from the main branch for now
Pushed to PROD

Note: this work has increased in priority to coincide with the non-BC BCSC Beta that is going live in October
Loose ends:
Current Options: "I am a resident of BC" = BCSC "I am not a resident of BC" = BCeID out-of-province "Verify with a notary instead" = BCeID "I am a government agency (other than BC Provincial" = non-ministry (BCeID or BCSC)
Rationale: BCOL Help and other help desks are reporting confusion from clients on this because all of our help and how-to content discusses these options in terms of auth type.
