Initial Communication for registered SP/GP from OneStop and SOFI Users (Early/Mid-May)

All users that have registered a SP or a GP via OneStop or SOFI need to receive the initial awareness communication.

Communication to this group should occur once maybe twice before go live to create awareness.

total registered SP/GP is about 450K

Email should focus on high-level awareness - no action for the user is required:

• a new online self-serve application to maintain and register businesses in BC
• focus on the why: create a more secure, user-friendly service experience for people and make it easier and faster to start and do business in British Columbia.
• no action required unless you need to start a new business or maintain an existing one.
• maybe add a link to our maintain a business pg (does it highlight what is required?? it would be beneficial if we also used this email as an opportunity to educate businesses on what is required.)
• application will be available in the coming months
• subscribe for updates and learn more (resources/website)

We have email addresses for about 450K registered businesses. GCPE and IDIM are aware of this communication and our help desks and staff will be made aware before it is sent in case they get questions from clients.

• [x] Notify Reg Leads, BA ops team, help desks (usual dist list) - send them a copy of the communication and advise them of the mass email that will be going out in batches. Send them a link to the Q&A doc on the info centre and let them know we will update this doc as we get questions.
• [x] test internally first - ensure formatting and everything looks good.
• [x] Send batch of 1000 early in the day. wait a few hours.
• [x] send batch of 10K. wait until the next day - maybe even two days. Let's see how this goes.
• [ ] Review questions that come in and update info centre Q&A doc.
• [ ] f revisions are needed on the communication, revise.
• [x] Send remaining batches.
• [ ] continue to update Q&A doc and communicate to staff when new Q's are added.
