DEV Responsiveness Notes:

• Figma link above includes a layout for desktop, tablet and mobile. Was hoping for tablet and mobile would be able to collapse the 8 stat boxes into a single row carousel where users could click next/back arrows (or touch swipe) to advance to the next stat box, in an infinite loop.
• Would prefer stat boxes stay the same size, but as the browser window gets smaller, less are shown - ie once 4 boxes can no longer fit across, switch to carousel with 3 across, then 2 across and then 1 across.

I also added links above to download the hero banner image and stats icons - but @gprimeau may need to give you access to the developer to access to bc reg google drive before they can access.

@chrism-bc @forgeuxGH5 @gprimeau - design has been updated slightly to include rollover states and "in-state" selected states for stat tiles. Also updated the icon colour svgs since they are now clickable and can use the gov link blue colour. To note, the hover rollover colour should use the standard bc gov's hover colour which I think is just a default "blue" - see what they are using on the BCROS page, as I know that is their standard link hover colour (the gov dev/design hub link no longer works so I couldn't get the actual HEX). Please read my pink notes in the Figma file for details.

I'm back in the office Tuesday if there are any questions or concerns, but I kept the changes minimal.

hi @chrism-bc @gprimeau - nice work on the demo! UXA items to fix:

• Please just check that all the text sizes and text colours are correct (should be 495057 for body copy and 212529 for bold headers) throughout the page - see the PPR marketing page for sizes/colours and also the Figma file for specs
• need to have the blue underlined links/blue link rollover in the tiles as per the figma design. We can't only rely on the dropshadow to indicate that its a link because it does not meet AA (many users don't see hover states).

• increase height of hero banner area to match height of PPR marketing page's (match PPR's header and text sizes and text colours - also noted in the Figma file):

• reduce the width of the hero header/intro text paragraph area on the widest screen break point so that it wraps "and insights" onto the 2nd line (so we don't have the orphan "insights" alone on the 2nd line.

• Fix the max width of the text column for the stacked (text with charts underneath) content areas - the paragraph text is much too wide to be read comfortably. Match to the width of the stats tiles
• Keep the centre gutter between side by side charts with the same gutters you will use for the text/chart side by side version.

BC Registries Modernization Statistics and Insights In our ongoing commitment to transparency, and as part of our Modernization Initiative, BC Registries and Online Services is proud to present for the first time to the public a selection of high-level analytics and statistics drawn directly from data in our Registers. Select any of the interactive data points below to see the related analytics and to explore how each relates to the services we provide at BC Registries.

Company Incorporations and Dissolutions Companies refers to Limited Liability, Unlimited Liability, Community Contribution, and Extraprovincial companies, which together represent the bulk of the requests we process each month. BC Registries processes tens of thousands of company incorporation applications from British Columbians each year, as well as thousands of dissolution requests. With the number of requests we process constantly growing, enhancing our service capacity has become one of our primary aims with our ongoing Modernization Initiative. The first chart represents a comparison of our monthly incorporation numbers between 2022 and 2023, demonstrating annual service growth and strong monthly demand, while the second compares incorporation and dissolution rates on a month-by-month basis.

Societies Registered and Dissolved While companies and name requests represent the majority of our BC Registries services, we also handle the registration of societies. The chart provides an overview of new society registrations, as well as dissolutions, broken down by month, for 2023.

Personal Property Liens and Search Requests In B.C., a lien can be registered against personal property as security to make sure a debt or loan is repaid. The lien is a registered legal claim on personal property owned by an individual or a business. Personal property is collateral that includes tangible and intangible items including, but not limited to, consumer goods, vehicles, boats, aircraft, chattel paper, and licences. Personal property also includes fixtures and crops attached to land. The charts represent a comparison of monthly numbers between 2022 and 2023.

Sole Proprietorships and General Partnerships A Sole Proprietorship is an enterprise composed of a single self-employed individual who performs all business operations and assumes all liabilities. A general partnership is an enterprise formed by two or more partners, who are together responsible for all aspects of the business, including the debts of the partnership. BC Registries handles registration for both. The chart shows new registrations of Sole Proprietorships and General Partnerships in 2023, broken down by month and compared to the same monthly numbers for 2022.

Name Requests and Submissions Before an individual can register a business or society, they have to select a name. BC Registries verifies that proposed names neither conflict with any existing business or society, nor infringe on the intellectual property of any other organization. Once an organization name is reserved, an individual has a set amount of time to register a business or society using the name, with the name returning to general availability if no registration is forthcoming. The chart showcases our total monthly name requests for 2023 compared to 2022.
