Mass Affiliations - get high-volume COLIN clients' affiliations moved over to BCROS #18671

This is to avoid the huge influx of client calls when limited companies go live.

Background: Corporate Online (COLIN) The old COLIN system holds the BC corporation records for now. This will be modernized in Jan 2025. In COLIN, each corporation has 1 email address on file. Some email addresses are used for hundreds of corporations. There is on concept of an account in COLIN

SBC Connect In the new system you need to affiliate (link) your account to a corporation in order to submit a filing for that business. This affiliation process could take a long time for those that manage hundreds of businesses. (see screenshot below for the different affiliation options)

Goals:

  1. We want all of the law firms that are active in the old system to have their account(s) set up in SBC Connect
  2. We want to hear from law firms that manage hundreds of businesses - which SBC Connect account would you like your corporations affiliated with?
  3. Avoid an influx of calls related to either account creation or difficulty affiliating hundreds of corporations.

Draft idea (subject to more brainstorming):

  1. Using scripting, create a unique Google Survey for each (unique) email address on file in COLIN, listing the corporations that use that email today.
  2. The survey should ask for an SBC Connect account to affiliate the corporations with
  3. The form must provide a downloadable list of current managed businesses for 1 admin email address from COLIN
  4. Using the same or other scripts, the survey links needs to be emailed out to each address on file in COLIN affiliated to more than 50 businesses, marked NO REPLY
  5. Once surveys have been filled in, a product team (SBC Connect) will complete a DB insert to create all of the desired affiliations with no client intervention needed.

@fareenr @ethantspitt Let's begin brainstorming/requirements on this one so we can report a rough release date with others in the organization.

I have put down the background and draft idea but I am open to this being tackled in another way, or via a number of smaller approaches.
