Describe the bug in the current situation When the user has a Mononym account then the user can't get their digital creds as the first name is a mandatory field while filing the proprietor information and as per the requirement the account name and the proprietor name should match.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'https://test.business.bcregistry.gov.bc.ca/FM1113115'
  2. Login with BCREG4000/98940000
  3. Open the SP "FM1113115"
  4. Try changing the proprietor's name to the account name.(which isn't a possible case scenario)

@amanji , thoughts?

@davemck513 @Mihai-QuickSilverDev @lmcclung Do we allow accounts or proprietors without a first name right now?

amanji commented 7 months ago

The requirement is that the users names (both first and last) must match. In this case if there is no first name then the check will fail.

BC Services Card already facilitates, for a while now, mononym logins. This means that users with just a Last Name could login into an account and register a firm, and attempt to obtain the digital credentials. So while this might not be an issue on the day 1 of go-live, we might have to fix this bug next.

@riyazuddinsyed Did you try a mononym account with a SP with a mononym proprietor and mononym completing party?
