Process - determine which business unit will map payments and provide overview #19642

Considerations:

  1. Should SBC Finance map payments to accounts, or should BCOL Admin?
  2. Is it necessary that two teams do this in order to satisfy FRCR (Separation of Concerns)
  3. Whoever does this will need to be given and overview and documentation
  4. If both fin and BCOL are busy, is it acceptable for Relationships to do this in the interim?

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for attending the EFT walkthrough on Jan 25th 2024 (Thursday) at 1 pm. (you may need to request access to view the recording of the EFT walkthrough linked here from Sharepoint)

As mentioned in the session, the EFT payment method will be released to flagged clients on the 31st of March 2024. A month after that date the flagged clients would expect to pay their statement using the EFT payment method. The first payment from each account paying by EFT needs to be linked to an account in the new system.

We are seeking clarification on which team will own the linking process for new clients moving forward - SBC Finance or BCOL Admin? Or, is it necessary that two teams take part to reduce risk and meet the Financial Risk Control Review (FRCR) guidelines?

Attached to this email you will find:

1- Rough Draft of a process map for Linking accounts. 2- Screen captures of the steps for linking the account (8 steps)

Please bring your questions to our next meeting on Tuesday Feb 6th at 1 pm.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

Dana Annab

Good Afternoon, thank you for the summary/update Dana.

I’ve discussed with Selina and her team can take on the linking of the short names to the EFT payments when they are made.

Can you please ensure our team sees a copy of the invoice/statement that will be sent to the clients prior to it being finalized?

Thank you!

Shawna Wilson
