BC Registry staff has received calls and forms incorrectly filled with more than one owners/schedule B.
Proposed updates from staff:
Item 5 Input first owner and tenancy type. If more than one owner, provide the additional owner’s information on Schedule B.
Remove “Item 9” (section #9) on the form – it should just be called Schedule B.
Schedule B - must be completed when there is more than one owner remaining on title. Input all additional owners to the first owner listed in Section 5 .
If a notice of transfer is in relation to a transfer by a registered co-owner in a
joint tenancy, or by a fractional interest owner, then you must specify:
(a) that the new owner is a tenant in common, and
(b) the fractional interest held by each owner/tenant in common to be
shown on the register.
Move “SCHEDULE B” AS A HEADING TO MIDDLE OF PAGE
Below this should say: ADDITIONAL OWNERS: TENANTS IN COMMON OR JOINT TENANCY OWNERSHIP
