Limited pull from COLIN (allowing details to populate but they could be edited)
a. If company is already extraprovincially in BC, client can enter registration number as part of the filing. The system will pull the name of the home jurisdiction only.
i. This helps to ensure the client does not continue in the wrong company and consume a wrong registration.
b. The system will display the information on screen for review
i. It will be editable, in the event of errors
ii. Disclaimers will be added that once the previous entity is historical no corrections will be allowed.(examples below)
I understand that this registration will become historical after the continuation in filing has been completed.
No further changes or corrections can be made on historical records.
If you do not provide an extraprovincial registration number upon the continuation filing, a registered correction will be required.
iii. Mimics current process, while supporting the clients in the additional way of confirming what we have on file
Clients can make the change if they feel it’s important to them
