INVESTIGATE : Any request types that currently have to be examined in Virtel(Mainframe) - Approve them in NameX #21591

Closed ozamani9gh closed 3 months ago

ozamani9gh commented 4 months ago

Known workaround Bug:

Any request types that currently have to be examined in Virtel, can they be updated to just approve in NameX? (Frequency 100%) time cost: approx. 1~2 businss days.

Ask Joshua to give us a list of company types that they still examine on Mainframe.

As requested from Omid current NR types that are processed in the mainframe:

Thanks @iamjtodd .

For the developer who picks this up, determine how much work it will take to allow these legal types to be examined in Names.

For clarity, the nature of this ticket is not based on whether or not the types work in NAMEX; NAMEX acts as more of a ‘placeholder’ and the origin of the client output, whereas the actual filing process talks to the legacy system COBRS for the below referenced types. This means when a client submits for one of these types, it must be held in NAMEX until such time as it’s added to the COBRS and approved there first, before approving in NAMEX to trigger the client output.

@iamjtodd @EPortman is saying you can process these types of Name Requests directly into Name Request Application. No need to process on COBRS anymore, and then we sync everything over to COLIN.

lets chat when you are free

iamjtodd commented 3 months ago

Oh wow okay that would be great. So just to confirm my understand:

@iamjtodd @droberts27 i think the best thing to do before we close this ticket is, if David could provide Ethan a list of each type of company that you still examine on the mainframe and we put it through in TEST (Ethan work with Mihai). make sure the applicant name and number is fake, DO NOT USE REAL APPLICANT.

If all the processing works and the name can be examined in TEST(maybe get Joshua to verify) we can close this ticket and from now, NRs can be processed in Name Request and examined in Name Examination.

eve-git commented 3 months ago

@EPortman sent me a message from David R.:

As the info above, there are four request types: M=Credit Union, CP=Coop and PA = Parish or Private.

Since Ethan has tested all the types (see his comments above), the ticket can be closed.

eve-git commented 3 months ago

Will QA retest them?

ozamani9gh commented 3 months ago

@eve-git yes @EPortman @Mihai-QuickSilverDev and @rstens should definetly give this a REAL test to make sure all Names Examined on Mainframe can now be processed on Name Request and Name Examination before being consumed

Mihai-QuickSilverDev commented 3 months ago

Testing: In Name-Request / Name-Examination, for both DEV and TEST:

All these types could be both created and examined in Test. Ready for Release.

ozamani9gh commented 3 months ago

@Mihai-QuickSilverDev can you let David Roberts and all examiners know to start using Name Request and Name Examination instead of mainframe for all types of NRS now... ,make sure everyone is on board.

Thanks

iamjtodd commented 3 months ago

Hey Omid, I haven't received a final confirmation from Mihai yet regarding no longer examining in the mainframe, is this confirmed starting immediately? If so I can let my team know, and it will change our work process quite significantly (for the better).

Thanks,
